Default Dendro vivs for rhacs?

been looking at loads of dart frog vivs and they look amazing, do you think the same concept would work for cresties and gargs?
Also, what about the coco fibre backing? would they be ok on it? would a water feature be ok? what about the light for growing plants?
Sorry about all the questions, i dont want to get any rhacs and have them keel over because ive ballsed the viv up

Phil on here (Phil1986 I think) has a fully planted exoterra for his cresties and they look amazing. As long as you have the right lighting and subs and go for hardy species of plant then you should be ok. Try Urban Bromeliad they sell lots of plants and planty-looky-after type things...

Or PM Phil, I'm sure he won't mind helping you out!

Cheers Kate (although he'd have a job PM'ing Phil1986 )

So yeah the same basic dart frog design can be used although you would have to put quite a few more branches and stuff for them to climb on. I wouldn't bother with a water feature as it would probably need quite a bit of cleaning/maintenance and there's always the chance of it going a bit wrong and leaking and making a bit of a mess
Plants would have to be a bit more hardy and able to withstand the weight of the rhacs compared to darts. Pothos (devil's ivy), creeping fig, normal ivys, bromeliads (try the link Kate put up, I got most of my plants from there, find the email on there and just ask Paul what he can do for you. Tell him I sent you :P). He'll help you out with lighting too as he knows a lot more than I do.

If you need anything else just ask mate!

im setting up natural planted viv for my cresties aswell, they like their bromeliads especially baby cresties. you can also add birds nest fern, creeping fig, peace lily, the other kind of lily. be careful with broadleafed plants as the crestie can walk on it not realising it carnt support it weight, use strong stemmed, multi branched plants for climbing
