I just made my own out of mesh I bought at homebase! It cost 4.49 for a sheet, and there is enough left to make 4 or 5 more. I nearly paid 20 quid for one off vivbuilder!

What kind of mesh you use? I'm a bit worried about the snake crushing the wire

6mm galvanised mesh wire, it's pretty tough, needs a little force to bend it.

I measured it all out, chooped the mesh up, used pliers to hook the cage together (it's sturdy), then attached it to the lid of the tank by wedging one side between the lid and glass, and hooking the other around the groove that glass sits in. I've tried wobbling it loose, and it won't budge. Sorted!

I make all mine out of the same stuff - as long as they're securely fixed in place they're rock solid.

It's identical to teh one I made too.

Miles cheaper.

There is actually a guy on Ebay who makes 'em like that too for about £5 each. Easy money hey!!!
