Default what size viv??

Hi peeps. Thinking of buying a beardi dragon from a baby but buying a viv for an adult as i dont want to have to buy two viv's lol Can anyone tell me what size viv i would need for this and what heating equiptment also? Thanks x

a 4x2x2 or bigger as said, make sure there are lots of hides etc if its a baby in that size viv. a 100w ceramic on a pulse stat or 100w bulb on dimming stat should be fine, and of course a uv bulb

I'd recommend 4' x 2' x 18", or anything larger but still keeping the 18" of height if you are planning to use a UV tube rather than an MVB. At 18", an 8-12% tube with a reflector still puts out a reasonable amount of UV; once you get to 24", the UV is starting to get pretty weak. Mounting the tube on the backwall isn't ideal either - beardie's eyes are adapted to shield them from overhead UV, not UV from the sides, so when the tube is on the backwall it can cause eye damage. I know I wouldn't want to be staring into a UV tube all day, and I'm sure your beardie wouldn't want to either!
