Thumbs up Ahhhh my new viv arrived and its massive (pics)

I cant beleave how big it is, I said to my friend I had £100 to spare and told him the type of thing I wanted and he has brought me this massive viv.

It's so big in fact that we couldn't get it into the house so he had to dismantle it outside the front door and just as it was starting to rain too. hehe

I just need to add in the glass and accessories which I should be able to afford soon.

The thing is taking up my whole room almost hahaha

Without further ado I present my half done viv....

Da-Da

Its 4 feet wide by 5 1/2 ish feet tall by two feet deep, its a monster, TBH I didn't really want it the depth but what the hell!! I can also move the shelves up and down to the required hight and may even section off two of the shelves to make 4 2 foot vivs for hatchling snakes or what ever else I decide to fill it with
What do you think? I know its still a bit dusty and its Chocolate brown but what can I say I didn't have to build it thankfully.

Not that lucky tried to get Glass for it today but suprise suprise none of the glass places near me are open over the weekend. Grrrhh

Could have had it done for next week too, as I could have gottn the rest of the bits and bobs like vents and glass sliders from B&Q.

Ahh well no rush really, just have to live with in my bedroom for a few days as i'm stuck and cant open my room door as this thing is so big and I also have a normal 4 foot glass viv. Will be giving up my bed soon for these reps i think hahaha

great viv mate! I have the same problen getting glass! only one glass place is open on a weekend! I just hope it aint pricey for me.

As for runners! make sure you get a top & bottom o.k. or you won't be able to put the glass in once the runners are in.

as for vents, go to viv builder! he's quite good! and still cheaper than buying vents from B&Q.

Get it over and done with.

Demolish your house and just build a big viv in its place. You can section yourself off a nice little corner in the cool end and youre sorted.

Big fat viv!!!

Doh!!! wish I had known that before I built this big bugger hahaha... Ah well this does the job and you cant go wrong with a ton for 4 vivs more if I split them up.

Thanks for the nice comments folks

Should get the glass shortly as I waited till I got my runners in so that I could measure them up properly.

Got my runners, vents and tube holders from vvivbuilders and they sent them out the very next day (Well impressed).

I'll post some pics up of the finished viv once I get the glass.

Were do you guys normally get your wood for the furniture of the viv? like logs and stuff. I live in Scotland so I can get logs just by walking outside and collecting some but I heard this isnt a good idea.

Couldn't exactly fit a 4 foot log in my freezer or micro either to decontaminate it.
