Default Help What Varnish to waterproof???

Ive almost finished my viv now and its time to waterproof the ply wood.
Im a bit worried about it rotting or harming my lizard (Cwd).
Anyone got any recommendations ??

i just built my viv which is 7ft by 4ft by 20ins out of ply and to waterproof it i used b&q indoor quick dry varnish. its about a fiver for 250ml. this advise i got from gaz and it has worked perfectly. hope this is of some help to you

the thing is its for a wd and ive got loads of water going on there you sure its ok?

I've heard that yacht varnish is the best stuff to use but never tried it myself - they sell it in Focus.

i can only say that it works well in my viv for my boa so maybe in your case the yacht varnish would be a better option

I'd go with yacht varnish but not sure about the fumes you will get.

Just let it air for a while then I'd put the glass back and turn the temps right up then after an hour or two stick your head in and see if it smells or not.
