Not used a AHS, but a 100w ceramic heats a viv that size easily, my pulse is only on about 30% of the time. I should put a 60w in there really, but it is a warm room.
I heard that using smaller wattages give a better gradient, as they work harder to bring the temp up in a localised area, though I can't confirm this. Also, if your stat goes wrong, a bigger heater is gonna cook your reprile a lot quicker i you don't notice...

I only know about normal ceramics and would agree with Deano about 100W being the right size, but not sure about the AHS.
Best thing to do would be to email or phone Microclimate: Microclimate International Company Information I've had to phone them once or twice and they're very helpful, I'm sure they'd be happy to answer any questions and they'd probably give you few extra tips as well |
