Default Heater size for viv??

Heater size for need
Hi all,
I have a viv which is 36 * 16 * 18 and looking to buy a heater before i get the royal for the tank. i would like to get an all in one heater such as the AHS. Could anyone let me know if they are good and what sort of watt i would need to keep the temp just right. The mini models go up to 150w and this may or may not be enought but the the size a is a bonus. any help is greatfully recieved. I know the websites say that it would do up to this size but rather have to much power and not need it as it can get preety damn cold in my room.
Cheers
Gam

Not used a AHS, but a 100w ceramic heats a viv that size easily, my pulse is only on about 30% of the time. I should put a 60w in there really, but it is a warm room.

I heard that using smaller wattages give a better gradient, as they work harder to bring the temp up in a localised area, though I can't confirm this.

Also, if your stat goes wrong, a bigger heater is gonna cook your reprile a lot quicker i you don't notice...

I only know about normal ceramics and would agree with Deano about 100W being the right size, but not sure about the AHS.

Best thing to do would be to email or phone Microclimate:
Microclimate International Company Information

I've had to phone them once or twice and they're very helpful, I'm sure they'd be happy to answer any questions and they'd probably give you few extra tips as well
