My mum wants to know if she could use ceramic tiles in the vivs she's building for our geckos. They will be over the heat mat, will they work?

I have several of my vivs with ceramic floor tiles, they help spread the temperature more evenly for heat cables.

They work fine for me.
I dont know if the tiles vary at all in thickness but mine are quite thick ones, they were being thrown out from an ex display unit at a tile shop and would have been from £25 each and upwards.

I have ceramic floor tiles for my iggys bathing area. They work fine and also keep his bathing water warm.
