Hiya mate, i know its a bit late but i have the same problem! When my crestie grows i will definately turn my viv on its side, however heating/lighting and ventilation becomes a problem. I think i will drill lots of holes in the metal roof as it is thin for extra ventilation and have a red light with a cage round it at the very top as there is a hole for this fixture. As long as it is monitored daily for mould it should be fine!
