Hey guys.
Does anyone know off hand if granite is ok for use with reps?
I know theres a few types of wood/tree/ and possibly rocks that arent you see although i usually assuem most are fine..

so who knows?

if theres loads of different types of granite then sorry i dont know a lot about rocks and stuff to be honest.

Anyway I have came into possesion of 6 big pieces and ive cleaned them and stuff... infact they were virtually spottless, hardly any dust or anything come off them... from the beach actually but anyway...

so yay or nay?

Would be a yay..in fact granite is very good as it holds a lot of heat and releases it over a long period some great thermodynamic qualities for reptiles. Only problem is it is so damn heavy!

Yes...it is heavy.. lol.
Have 6 Big pieces, couple of them can be cradled in one arm, the other 4 are 2 hand with assistant of stomach jobbies lol.

All for our bosc's basking area in his new viv.

cool..sure he will appreciate it. Granite is best used with nocturnal species and sandstone with diurnal but i use granite with my Blue tongues and bosc cos they would just move anything else around the viv like a ball!!

Oh ok, well bugger lol.
I just wanted rocks to be honest, savvy has a big piece of sandstone already which he will take with him to his new viv... I think i know why, cos the holding heat yeh?
i get that, he prolly wont notice though u reckon? shoul dfeel about the same under the bask?
