Fish tanks can be good for some species and not for others.
All depends whats been kept in them. Yes they can be good for chams as they like humidity. The ideal tank for a cham is as previously said higher rather than wider. The perfect tank for adult chams (depending on species and numbers) is 24"(w)x36"(h)x18"(d).
There are not load sof reps i would recommend these tanks for though. They are normally better for high humidity reps such as chams, basilisk, young water dragons, frogs, anoles, some T's, ETB's, GTP's etc.
Just make sure there are loads of hiding places as reps in all glass tanks can often feel insecure. So a background or lots of greenery etc can help them with this.
