Default top opening vivs

has anyone built or own a top opening viv?

im thinking about making one from 25mm thick mdf from B&Q.

the mdf comes in 2440 x 1220 x 25mm thick and iv worked out if i get them to cut it all i need to do is screw it together.

the finished product should end up being 5.4ft long 2ft wide and 2ft high and will only cost £50 -glass.

im a bit unsure about it opening from the top though.

pics would be great, thanks gibby

i think that unless you would be better off with a front opening viv aswell because a top opening viv would probably cause problems with electrics
