Default What wood do you use for your DIY vivs?

i either buy the big sheets of MDF i think and that comews in 8x4 foot pieces which is great for large size snakes, or contibord wich come in 4, 6, 8 foot lenghs with widths of 15, 18, 21, 24 inchs.

MDF is ok, as long as you seal EVERYTHING properly...I wouldnt think about using it for vivs that require some kind of humidity, or being sprayed.. MDF has an habit of increasing in thickness

I also used conti board. Sealed the edges with clear bathroom sealant then put two coats of varnish over the inside of the vivs to protect it.

I'm getting mine made out off hardwood ply, it looks like a solid piece of wood face on so is good for staining to whatever colour you want to get it to match with other furniture.
