Default Sterile?

I have found some great branches in a local park that will go really well in some of my vivs. I have also got a really thick plastic, 1/2" thich plastic drain pipe \I will be cutting up. What would you do to sterilise them? The branchs are about 2 -3 foot.

Soak in the bath for 24 hours (use bricks to sink)

Then douse in a few kettles of bloiling water.

This is presuming they have no dirt, if they do they will need a scrubbing too.

Regards
Dan

you can paint them with a diluted bleach solution and then rinse them well. let them dry. this will of course lighten them but that many times makes them look nicer. yo can also paint them with a clear polyurethane coating wich seals them. there are other ways too.
