Default Heating exo-terra viv

I have one of those exo-terra glass vivs with the removable mesh lids. I have young boas in them and I am currently using a heat mat. I would like to use a heat bulb or ceramic heat emitter because the viv isn't warm enough. How do I affix one to the roof of the viv because I want it to be outside to prevent my boas being burnt.
