Default How pi**ed off am I...............?!

Went to B&Q to buy somecontiboard to build a viv (even though none of you lot gave me any hellp as to how to put it together and I asked like a million times!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Anyway - the pillock I asked to cut the wood did the wrong size on the top and bottim panel. Bummer So i've been doweling a new piece of wood onto the bits that are the wrong size. Bloody difficult and fiddly! Its also gonna look a mess when its done. My first viv and its ruined before its even started

I'd take it back too
although at the B&Q near me theres a sign that says they cant do exact sizes only cuts to fit in your car.
I guess that gets them off the hook when they mess it up.

I havent seen any threads with you asking how to put a viv together to be honest.

Ditto, sorry about that - I think I would have written something, I usually end up talking about sealant and that kind of thing lol!

The Corn Snakes Site - How to Build a Vivarium for a Corn Snake
This site has some good instructions. I've spent the past week building a 3 footer (but only about 1 hour per night). Drilling the pilot holes works really well. Can't be bothered with dowels.
I have a pair of picture frame clamps which are a godsend. They hold two pieces in place with the correct angle while I drill, then glue and clamp again before screwing together.

Just turn up in a Smart car and that should reverse the hook

Homebase also miscut my backing board. I bought a 8ft x 2ft melamine furniture board for £15, and got a 30" x 18" x 12" out of it, including a 31" x 13" backing board, which actually turned out to be 31" x 15".

I measured before I left as he took an hour to make 7 cuts! The backing board was two inches too big on the height side. It worked out perfect though, as now I have a couple of inches at the top of the vivarium at the back, meaning I can use it for storage without knocking anything off over the back of it and behind the viv.
