Default Moist Hides?

I know these can be made from butter tubs I have one but dont think its big enough.
I have a few other things at are plastic tray type things and I was wondering if the moist hides need to have a lid at all?
Basically the bit that would be the bottom?

Cheers

moist hides really need to be as enclosed possible or they dry out really quickly. Butter tubs and ice cream tubs seem to work well. I suppose it depends on the size of your snake. Cut a hole in the side near the bottom, then invert them and use them lid side down. Is that how others use them?

For baby leo's I use cricket tubs and when they are bigger upgrade to 500g ice cream tubs, I like the Carte Dor ones best.
