Default Rhino vivs

Ime waiting on a 5ft rhino viv but cant decide how to heat it.I always use che but been told its better to use heat mats.Anyone here got a rhino viv an how do you heat yours

would depend on what you're keeping in it and what temps you need etc.

Personally I would look into AHS heaters for anything over 4ft (thats viv-wise, not snake length!)

They have a section on their website that suggests using heatmats underneath the viv, it has some instructions on how to fit it.

Ye i know but ive never used heatmats an dont know if they heat the air in the viv enough for a boa.

I have a few stacks of them these are the 1200s, I use heat mats or reptile radiators as mine are in a heated snake room, but the all in one AHS heaters work well in them.

Mine is going to be in my living room for the moment so would i have to put a heatmat on the cool side set to 80 along with the one on the warm end?

Yes but in an unheated room mats are not ideal, I would use an AHS heater. As you may struggle to get the ambient temp up where you need it with just mats.
