Default hatchling RUB size?

sorry it is probably on hear somewhere but what sive RUB do people use for hatchlings? corns, bci, rats and royals

I used 3 litre ones for Royals. But I reckon a small corn could squeeze out of the gap betweent he tub and the lid.

i use the 9l rub for royal hatchings but i would not use for baby corns i think they would be albe to escape thought the top

Thanks going to get some at 4 would a 4-5L be ok for corns?

I used a 9l for my corn he was 6 weeks ish when he went in it and was ok

mine were in the small faunariums for the first 3 weeks i had them..then as they were growing lik weeds they both went up to 9l RUB's, they were this years june babies btw..n love the 9l. lots of room to put hides,toilet tubes etc, mine have got a bit of garden cane through as well for them to have a bit of a climb on, and they love it

9l will be fine but look at the space between the top of the box and the lid - look from underneath. There are some threads about corns getting stuck there. Also some threads saying how to get round the problem, so do a search. I use then for young carpets but carpets are a lot bigger.

for the rubs i just make a fake lid as such, i've tried both the following methods before and both worked.

with the smaller rubs, i measure the lid, then cut out a rectangular piece of card. and stick that to the inner of the lid (where the gaps are)

With the larger ones i stuffed the gaps with newspaper than stuck strips of card over the top (mainly as i didnt have any pieces of card to do the whole lid in one job lol)

reduces to risk of the snakes escaping/hanging themselves,as has been very rarely reported in the past
