Default Humidity

Something I've not really looked into closely - can someone help me out understanding humidity - sorry if this sounds dumb! How do I increase humidity and keep it up? It it just a matter of making sure water is available?, or spraying my vivs? When people say thier animal like around 80% humidity - that seems quite a lot to me - how do you keep it at that level constantly? Thanks (I do know of the hygrometers to measure humidity)

Depends upon what species you`re keeping, but misting is good, plus having water dish under heat source. You can buy combi temp/hygrometer from Zoomed. Hope this helps a bit.

I mist the viv every day or so and have a heat source under the water bowl. My humidity stays around 70 most of the time and my Royal seems to like that.
Hope that helps a bit.

I mist my Viv's every morning before i go to work and it keeps the humidity up around 50/60%, i did have a problem when i first got the stack keeping high enough humidity but found it was the ventilation that was causing the problem i just closed of half the vents leaving 2(1 top left 1 bottom right) open and it sorted itself out.
