Default what equipment do i need for beardie ?

Hi,
Ive just finished building my viv (43"long, 24 deep, 25" high). What equipment do i need for a beardie to be comfortable ?
Im guessing i need heat lamp, heat mat, uv light, basking rock ?
What size lamp, mat, uv light etc would be ideal for this size of viv ?
Any other equipment i will need that i have not mentioned, feel free to let me know.
thanks in advance.

I use a 100w Mega-ray bulb it provides uvb & heat
Only use heat mat with mat stat if night temps are below 65f
I also have a 36inch full spectrum flourescent tube for extra (natural) daylight
Basking rock, logs, I also got bricks from b&q 27p each and broken pieces stone paving for cheap, food bowl. Ceramic tiles as substrate - easier to keep clean & safer
I also have a digital thermometer & a temp gun
My viv is 4ftx2ftx2ft
Hope this helps

u don't need a heat mat for bearded dragons so i would not waste your money,if u are worried about night temps use a red spotlight for heat as beardies get there heat from above not below which is what you get if u use a heat mat.

thanks thats helped,
the mega ray bulbs look interesting, i take it with them it replaces the separate heat and uv lamps, would a 100w one be suitable for the size of viv i have. And i can add a separate flourescent lamp for added light ?
Would the mega ray bulbs need hooking up to a temp controller of some kind ?

NO you cannot use a thermostat on the mega ray bulbs but yes it replaces any other heat source and uvb tube

Dont use a heat mat or a hea rock. heat rocks are extremly dangerous.

how do you control the temp with the mega ray bulbs ? Just thinking if i buy one and install, what if the temp gets too hot, how far above the basking rock would you recommend mounting a 100w mega ray.
Also how about air vents, ive bought a 6" x 4" vent, but would it be best mounted on the rear of the viv or the roof ?
Thanks.

You can't control the temp of a Mega-ray as such but here's a link to the site where you can find lots more info: www.reptileuv.com. Should answer most of any questions you may have

Ok, Ive installed my mega ray about 12" from basking spot and temp gets up to about 100 - 105 degrees farenheit at the basking surface, although it dropped down to 60 farenheit overnight when lights were off, is this too cold for the lights off period ?
A red spot light was mentioned to provide heat during lights off, would this be a normal household red coloured spot light or infra red lamp ?
Just trying to get things right before getting beardie.
thanks.
