Default Heating Issues

People i need some advice,

I'm trying to maintain a 45x45x60 exo terra at about 75f give or take 3f with either a infra-red or ceramic buld. Problem is the ambient temp is 65f. So my question is what wattage bulb do i need? I had a 60w exo terra infra-red in last night and the temp hit a low of 67.

Incedentally the gecko's didn't seem to like the red bulb last night so i'd prefer a ceramic one. I had heard they couldn't see red but apprantly crestie's can since their eyes were visiblity reacting to the red light and they weren't active at all last night.

I used to just heat the room to 75f but its costing too much now having a oil heater on 24/7 and my central heating is very unreliable! <-- damn student housing!

Thanks!

Use a 150 watt ceramic on a pulse proportional thermostat
it may be a bit too much but the stat will regulate it to the desired temperature with some left over in case of really cold nights.
