Default ViV material Question

So im starting my rack system finally and i have a few questions

i will be housing 2 royals, and 2 sand boas...doing this for the soul purpose that in a one bedroom apt it woul be nice to have all the kids in one area

will MDF be ok?
or should i go with something along the lines of chipboard

even if not necessary what should be used to make them warp proof (due to humidity etc etc.)

also what should be used to seal them (silicon as in aquarium sealent or what?)

any advice is welcome

thanks

and sorry for the noob questions everybody lol

Contiboard appears to be the wood of choice for most, you can usually get it in white (B&Q and Wickes) or beech wood effect (Wickes), and its reasonably priced.

If your woodworking skills are crap its probably best to use fixing blocks to secure the different sections of wood. You can then seal the joins using aquarium sealant.

Don't forget to put some ventillation in at opposite heights at opposite ends.

White glass runners can be bought from B&Q although they're not the best price, I think dartfrog.co.uk sell black ones.

There are experienced people on the forum who can give more detailed advice but they're the basics.
