i recently bout a baby cam ( 3.5") and a viv came with her.
Its a wooden viv L-36 w-15 d-15 with glass sliding doors. is this ok for her?? thanks

howdy buddy...
i dont use vivs unless for babies and yours is a baby so you should be fine..
if you want to adapt your viv into a better house then get rid of the glass...
make new doors with netting as ventilation out of wood or sturdy cardboard..
staple netting to the wood,cardboard and you get better air flow and ive always found that a good thing for the chameleon...
its really easy to do and you dont have to do it to both pieces of glass..just do one...
i use flexi`s with all my chams after they are 3 months of age...
i also have a viv just like what ive just described above with a male in.. he`s doing great...

Thanks bud. was wondering though if i got some large vents for the back of the viv would that be enough??? and when u say flexi what do u mean?? u got some pics? and how much they are? coz i know im gonna have 2 change my viv soon. manny thanks again

vents will be sound... its the glass
they dont like theyre own reflections as they think its another chameleon intruding on their patch...
you can either get rid of the glass or put lots of plants on it.. u can get fake plants that stick on with a sucker...
ive seen lots of stressed out chams, clasping at the glass trying to get out, breaks my heart when i go in pet shops...
and yet my chams i could send 200 people upto them and you wouldnt see them getting stressed, so its not a people thing...
Flexariums are available on e bay check them out..
my sis has got my digicam usb cable so i cant put any up till shes bk nxt wk.. sorry..
im going to try and get sum pics up tom via another cam..

depends on your house heating..
mine, ive got a well warm house and a 300 watt ceramic in the chamelon room on a temp of 70 if it gets to cold.. the stat just kicks it in...

if your room retains a temp of around 65 degrees then you will be fine...
if its draughty to, they dont like draughts...
you could always put a cover over the flexi at night...
i dont put lights inside mne, i put them on the outside and i can cover them up if my heating goes on the blink etc....
also the lizards cant burn themselves on the bulbs...
mate chameleons do the weirdest things, you`ll see..
they are brillant pets given the right care and love...
have fun and dont be afraid to ask...
if in doubt ask then make your own mind up, thats what i do....
also feed her some greens, theres plenty of info on the net or on this forum on which veg,greens to feed her..
some eat one thing and the others eat somat else, you have to find out which yours likes, she may not eat any greens, mine male wont eat any, neither will my female..i always offer once a week...
My mellors loves carrot and will take carrot out my hand like a normal lizard and not use his tounge...lol
mate its mind bogling aint it.......ha ha

Hehehe i live in wales and ive never had a problem, i always make sure my room is hot. Its been known to hit 85%+ in my room.
