Default Hi All!

Hi Everyone!
I'm new here!
I currently have no reptiles! I did have a leopard gecko but he recently passed away due to old age so i'm told!

I am going to be getting a couple of crested geckos soon - I have an exo terra terrarium but am unsure whether to get the canopy to go with it!

Some care sheets say that they require UV lighting and others say its not needed - I'm not sure whats best! So what do you all do with yours?

Also i'm guessing that if my house is heated there shouldn't be any real need for extra heat? I am out at work all day and only have the heating on at night so might need a light to heat during the day - what is the best way of controlling the heat? I've read that i can't use the same thermostat that i was using for the heat mats as they wont work a light?

Maybe i need to do a new post for all of this acutally!! Sorry everyone - got a little carried away!!!

to the forum.

I don't use a UV light or heat mat for our crestie.

As long as the temperature in the cresties exo terra is between 70F and 80F then that should be fine.

Wow that was quick with all the replies!

Thanks for the great welcome!

Would a 60x45x60 be too big? I'm worried its too big now but i want my little cresties to have plenty of room!
