Default Hey from the states

Hello all! I am new here and thought I would introduce myself. I have been keeping exotics for a few years now. I started with birds. I have a 4 year old HF female quaker parrot (hence the screen name)named Spencer. I also have a male albino ferret, Zero, and a female sable ferret, Coco. Not to mention my beagle, Molly. And English Setter pup, Shadow.

I just started keeping herps this year, althouh I am not new to thier care.

I have an indonesian legless lizard, Nessie. He's very inactive, but it's cool to watch him. I've had him for 6 months now.

My first snake was a ball python. I took him to the vet and discovered he had mites and tapeworms. I took him in for injections to get rid of the parisites. Sadly, he died after the tapeworm injection. The vet and pathologist have never even heard of a snake going into annaphelectic (sp) shock before and they aren't even sure if a case has even been reported. My vet is going to publish an article about Jigsaw's case just b/c his death was so rare.

After my bp I got a baby corn snake, Blaze. He's doing good. I've had him for about 2 months now.

I deffinatly want to add to my collection. I like the smaller snakes like kings, bp's, corns, ect.., better than the larger pythons and boas. And I am interested in dart frogs. I'm just here to learn all I can about the hobby and improve my husbandry skills b/f adding anything else. For me part of the fun of getting an animal is doing research. I love learning everything I can about an animal that I get.

Sorry if that was so long. lol

Christina

"Can I take you out to the pictures Jo-o-o-oan?"
But as she's getting ready to go
A knock comes on the door

Bang! Bang! Maxwell's silver hammer
came down upon her head
Clang! Clang! Maxwell's silver hammer
made sure that she was dead

Back in school again Maxwell plays the fool again
Teacher gets annoyed
Wishing to avoid and unpleasant scene-e-e-ene
She tells Max to stay when the class has gone away
So he waits behind
Writing fifty times "I must not be so-o-o-o
But when she turns her back on the boy
He creeps up from behind
