Default Howdy from rob11

Hi folks,

My names Rob, I live in the midlands. I would love to own a cobra. They are such striking snakes! (if you will excuse the pun). But in all honesty I don't think I would ever dare. DWA etc

Something a little more in reach would be having a king snake, but sadly, I still live with my parents, so its just me and my dog at the moment.

Their house, their rules !!

Anyway I will stop waffling on now!!

Welcome to the forum Rob,

Kingsnakes are great starter snakes, mine is absolutely amazing (I am biased though) He's so tame and so stunning too !!!

I think that I'd work my way up to a snake on the DWA list though

Hope you enjoy the forum, I'm sure you'll make loads of friends and that you'll get loads of welcomes !!!

Here's my Kingsnake 'Jasper', they're one of the easier snakes to keep and are quite cheap too:

EDIT: Added a picture of Jasper to the post to show to Rob

Just out of interest what king would you be interested in (in an ideal world?)

I love all kingsnakes especially Mexican Black Kings and obviously all the kings owned by Anne (snakecharmer) because hers are gorgeous !!!

What's your favourite Rob?

Thanks to everyone who has welcomed me to the forum!!

Tony, I really love grey banded kingsnakes, I have heard that they are quite bad tempered snakes, but I have held a few and they have never been. Is it just hatchlings or is it just that the owners are really good? Handling them regularly etc.

I also really like anerythristic corn snakes. They are so beautiful, so are Sunglows.

So if I move out or win the parental units over, my ideal collection would have at least two grey banded kings a sunglow and an anerythristic corn. oh and of course a spitting cobra!! (But that would never happen!!!)

Rob
