Default another newbie :-)

HI all I'm new to this forum and to lizard keeping, I've just been given a lizard by a friend that could not keep it any more.
Can any one give me its name and any info so i can do some research.

it looks like a uromastyx but there are loads of different species but i couldnt tell you which one......

Hi and welcome to the forum!

It does look a bit like a uromastyx.. but the head and tail dont look quite right, like twistedclown said there are loads of sub-species... maybe someone else will know more?

It look sto me like an African Spiny Tailed Lizard (Uromastyx acanthinurus). But I might be wrong as I am not that clued up on lizards.

Hmm what about a Desert Spiny Lizard (Sceloporus magister) it looks like a Sceloporus something or other.
