Ph0bia:- I think it would be a good idea for there to be pictures of each spider on the care sheets. I know this would be a pain for you as it means saving them again, and uploading them again. As I am just looking into tarantulas I want to see as many pictures as possible. Maybe you could do a series of pictures if you can get them of say, sling, juv, adult and a pair or something similar. Ben

Hey Ben,

I'd considered this when I first started, in fact, the first beta did have pictures, but then I decided against it for a number of reasons:

Firstly, the purpose of these sheets is to give information on the care of the tarantula, those who wish for pictures can do a websearch for the scientific name and easily find pictures.

Secondly, the stores that were (and still are) using these sheets use B&W ink only (the coloured bars are for internet users only) when printing them. Most species of tarantula look very similar when the pictures are put into black and white.

Thirdly, the sheets are aimed at 2 pages, no more. This makes them a literal 'sheet' (if double-sided printing is available) and anything more than 2 pages (if double-sided printing is unavailable) begins to become bulky and the stores and people don't want to print off that much paper and ink, let alone read it all.

It's a good idea, but not within the original goals and purposes of these sheets.

Default Rehousing a cobalt blue...........

...........or any burrower really, how do you get them out of the burrow? If you are moving them to a new enclosure, is it safe to asume you can get them out by removing the substrate ('dig it out')?

Try flooding it out (pouring water down the burrow) but do it in a dark room.

Chances are you'll then have to dig a little too... It's tricky, and I'm really no expert on it personally. I'd throw up a topic in the main forum about it.

Still seems to be working for me. Start at the end of the topic and keep travelling backwards until you hit a post - don't use the first. The sheets have updated and changed URL. If you still can't get it to work, then use the arachnoph0bia.tk link in my signature. They're there too and confirmed working.
