You have to be very careful being A.sp. Amazonica as many people have been incorrectly selling other species as this especially the purple peruvian species. All the amazonica we have ever sold came from the breeder you orginally collected the adults and bred them. Certaintly not a species I would pick up at a show from anyone as more often an not they turn out to be something else.
Versicolors are another species that have problems as there are two forms the "Large" and "Small". I am not not sure if these can be bred together as large form males mature twice the size as the "Small" form females, even if they could be bred together it should be avoided as they come from two different areas (Two different islands possibly). The majority you see coming from mainland Europe tend to be the small form where as all the spiderlings we sell have always been the large form. It is important to know which form these are so always best to buy from a good source where they know exactly where there stock comes from. Anyone can buy and sell spiders but having good relationships with breeders, collectors, exporters and taxonimists to offer the best possible and accurately i'd stock takes time and experience but is what seperates professional dealers from all the fly by nights. We have mated females, A.sp."peru purple", A.sp."Suriname", A.fasiculata (x2) and A.versicolor (Large form x 3). All of which have been obtained from the original collectors or imported ourselves.
