Question leo problems

I recently found my leopard gecko rubbing his tounge against the kitchen roll substrate and the end of his tounge had flared up red. I looked closer to find that he had had a go at eating some sphagum moss and it seemed to be stuck to his tounge. I used the tongs to quickly take the moss out but i was just wondering if it would actually do any harm? please tell he is only small and has no fat reserves around his tail as he was bullied for the food in the shop by the other geckos and he is also still not eating after 4 days of me owning him

please post answers

to be honest i dont think you will have any problems about that, you did the right thing by taking it out. make sure he has plenty of water in his dish cos it might have made him thirsty and will keep his tongue moist. but if you still get very worried and he isnt eating his dinner then take him to the vets

Default Hi here's ur answer!

Take it back to the shop or hand feed it once every 2 days and see how that goes if that does not work try to feed it in a different container.

The non feeding thing happend to me 2.
What i did was. Hand feed the gecko by tapping the food on the end off the geckos nose. Then just let the gecko open it's mouth. St this point put the foods head into the mouth.
After many attempts i have got my gecko to feed.
Also with the moss. If you want to keep it cut it up into tiny pieces so if it trys to eat it, it wont get stuck in your geckos stomach and cause impaction. Or you could use kitchen roll. I use kitchen roll in an old cricket tub as my humid hide as mine are young. Then i'm going to change to moss when they are a bit bigger.
Hope this helps mate i know how it feels to have a small leo not feeding.
