Default Tegu and Monkey Tailed Skink Care Sheets

Argentine Tegu Care Sheet (has the old monkey tail caresheet on it too)
Monkey Tailed Skink Care Sheet - new and improved, but unfinished.

Would welcome any feedback.

I have to say I'm VERY impressed with the monkey-tail sheet!!

Gonna read the Tegu one now!

EDIT: The Tegu caresheet is equally impressive!!

Good work there!

It's nice to get good info on them. Makes a change from the many caresheets on the net which BLATANTLY haven't been written by anyone who's kept the animal in question.

I might try some of your methods for getting my Tegu to eat fruit/veg. She's not currently interested. She did take some cabbage with raw egg on but that's it. If it's either not moving (insects) or smelling of meat she's not interested. I have read their diet changes and eat more fruit/veg as they get older though. I'll see if I can change her diet with your tips!

Actually, mine have gone off fruit as they got older! but I have never had any issues with them refusing it when using fish - its how I get my finicky adult Big Teg to eat it.

Usually trout, as I cant get it off the fish counter by the fillet which is quite cost effective, and you can rip it up easily to smear on the fruit. Ive also used tilapia, but it doesnt shred as well - its not as smelly though! Sardines were very popular (obviously not the kind in a can, you can get fresh ones on the fish counter from time to time) and when fed whole contain more calcium etc than any of the others, but it did cause some REALLY smelly poos the next day! I would like to try some small whole fish like whiting, but I cant find it available anywhere in a form fit for human consumption...I hear you can get it from bait shops, but I wouldnt feed my teg anything from there!
