Hi

Sounds like she will lay in the next 7 days

You need to put her something like a cat litter tray in her viv filled with peat or vimiculite

Also you need a incubator if you are planning on keeping the eggs??

Now she has started to dig you may have noticed her not really eating - this is normal but after she lays you will need to feed her well and give her plenty of calcium to build her back up - she will also want a good drink (well mine always does ) i normally bath her the day after she lays her eggs

when she lays again keep up the calcium as she may lay a double clutch and lay again in 4 weeks time which again is normal (well it is with my beardie) so needs really looking after cos this really takes it out of them

Any other advice or if i missed something please ask

rachel

Ok if she is digging she looking for somewhere to lay, she will dig test sites everywere. what i do is get a large plastic container such as a tote bin or some thing and fill it with sterilised soil or peat and sand mix, make sure it is moist enough to hold together when she digs a burrow but not too wet.

She sould lay her eggs usually in afternoon. but when she does u need to dig them up and put them in some tubs with a layer of damp vermiculite in u can get this at garden centers.. U then need to make an incubator eggs should be invubated around 82 - 84 degrees but can be done in a warm room providing the temp doesnt drop at night. this will take longer. eggs take between 60 asnd 72 days to hatch but u must keep the vermiculite moist throughout this period by spraying them with a mist of water to stop them dryng out and to create humidity.

Next u have to feed your dragon up now give her plenty of foods that have been gut loaded and make sure she getting enough if kept with other dragons..

anything else give me a call il be happy to speak with u.

Smile Beardie eggs

My female has laid 4 clutches of eggs in the last god knows how many months. I put them into the empty crix/locust pots half filled with damp vermiuclar also taped over the holes so there were just a few very small air holes to keep humididy. When laying i bought a big bag of play sand and dumped a pile in a corner which she laid in. i then poked little groves in verm and carefully put the eggs in.

the first batch i hatched i put in the middle of the viv with a rock on them as this will be around the right temp and should be the most constant temperature within the viv. this worked fhe batch hatched great. After this batch a friend bought a hovobator ( incubator) that he only had two eggs in so i stuck them in there. I found lots of people telling me to build or buy an incubator but the egg in the Viv approach worked just as well.

I would recomend a few days after moving the egss to carefully shien a bright torch throught the egg shell in a dark room to see if the eggs are fertile, which you can see by red veins etc in the egg. Some eggs will be lost and these normally ooze or do not have ay signs of veins. dont feel bad it just happens and these look green on the inside in my experience.

It may be likely that she will lay more batches, and think about what you can do with them, i had to go and buy another 3ft viv and fittings for the babies ( Which are damm cute) - as a guide shops will take them at 6 weeks plus at around £15 if you grow on to 12 weeks around £25.

i hope this helps and PM me with any questions you may have . good luck - simon
