Default Problems with Adult Tegus

Im just wondering i have seen a few adult B/W tegus around and im wondering if there would be many problems with buying an Adult one....I dont really want to get a baby one and Grow it because of my OCD(wiered and unexplainanble) .......so im wondering what I would have to consider when getting a fully grown one......like do they bo0nd to thier previous owners and are they agressive at all?

It totally depends on how they were treated by their last owners; an adult that has been well socialised should still be good-natured in a new home, although it may be suspicious of you initially (tegus do learn to recognise people - mine hated the vetinary nurse when he was younger, in memory of an injection she gave him). Conversely, an adult that has been handled very little can be very unfriendly towards humans. Tegus are a bit unpredictable in this respect; they arent flighty and fearful for the most part as adults, like some monitors, but they can be very stubborn and suspicious.

In short, any adult tegu probably wont be afraid and run from you, but if it hasnt been well-socialised to people it may well still whip or bite you.
