Smile Wee baby leo brought home today

Here are a few, not great pics, of my little Blizzard I picked up today

She is only about 6mnths or thereabouts but a spritely little thing and very friendly, already she's coming up to my hand.

Normally when I bring a new leo home I put em in their viv with water, food & calcium powder etc & leave the light off for the first day

Tbh, the moby camera doesn't capture the exact colour as she looks much more orange in these pics but she is more yellow

Haven't thought of a name as yet so any suggestions welcome ??

Btw, I know this isn't a new leo but I love this pic so much I just had to post it to let you see too

Regards, Esskie

Hi scarlet and thanx ,

She had been kept for me without me having seen her but when I got there I was told that if I change my mind & wanted something else or just didn't want her then that was cool.

Anyways, I'd had her described to me & had only seen darker than or more yellowish than pics of other blizzards but liked her as soon as I saw her so there was no problem

I noticed her first faeces in her new home was a little bit on the watery side for my liking so I'll have to keep an eye on that but other than that, she's an active, bright eyed healthy looking leo.

As you will know it takes a few days watching them before you get an idea of their character etc so hopefully her healthy active behaviour will continue, she's in quarantine atm of course though

Just uploaded some more pics I took last night from my moby to the pc so rather than make a new post I'll just add them to this post

You can see her proper colour much better in these pics for some reason, taken with same moby?, maybe just the different lighting?

This one is going to confuse things again as it's making her look more orange again?

This one is a bit blurred and not the best pic but it's probably got the best representation of her colour?

Also, from the pic above you can see her size, those temporary food & water dishes are small plant-pot holders for 3"-4" pots lol

Thanx re the pic of Kali scarlet, it's one of my favz, for once I've managed to use the macro on the camera(moby 2megapixel) for a close up and it hasn't came out blurred due to not having a stand or rest or anything lol

Hi Jen, she has the same grin as Blaze my shtctb male lol, I love that front view of most leos as they usually look like they're grinning

thanx Matteh, all I was told she was a blizzard with a yellowy colour before I went to see/get her but the 180 mile round trip was worth it despite emptying my pockets lol
yes she looks nice and healthy, nice big fat tail as you say but I'm waiting on her next stool as the last one (her 1st here) was way too watery for my liking

She's alert enough & catching #4 crickets no problem so I put 3 powdered ones in her viv last night and I can't see any jumping around now so that can only be good. Doesn't seem as interested in the mealworms though

Well atm there is a shtctb, a really nice wee hi-yellow who's exactly 4mnths old next Saturday or a normal phase to breed her with so who knows?

that's a long way away though as she's just a wee baby lol

Thumbs up

Hi Anna,
What a lovely pair of gex!

How old are this pair?, never had to sex anything any smaller than the blizzard yet (I knew anyway but was shown for confirmation) but they say you can look for the preanal pores once they get so big/old using a jeweller's loupe or magnifying glass

Well I know the sexes of all mine but just haven't got a clue yet as to what will be bred with what when the time comes??

the Tangerine Trempers will be ready first so they will probably(?) be covered by Blaze?, he's the SHTCTB

I'll tell you what though, I really like the Jungle morphs and that's probably gonna be my next morph (I know I said no more after the Mack Snow & Hi-Yellow but with the exception of a nice Jungle lol)

That's a really smart jungle you have there but the black & white is an exceptionally nice gecko Anna, nice one

You don't really see too many Black & Whites about do you?, is he classed as a 'Black & White pattern_name_here' or anything or is he referred to as a Black & White?

the B&W might be interesting to cover this Blizzard or the Mack Snow with?

I'm not really sure myself tbh pal but I'd love it if one/both of them could cover at least one or two clutches during a season and of course, you get the usual stud fee - pick of the litter! lol

the Tangerine Tremper Albinos are 9mnths atm so probably won't be breeding them for at least another 9mnths, been told to breed em as soon as they are up to weight but I'd rather let them mature a bit first

They will be nice and healthy ready for next season though

Of course if any of your boys do end up coming for their holz, they will have 5-star, full-board accommodation with large, single en-suite rooms but they will be required to share with up to 2 females at a time perhaps once maybe twice during their stay
Keep me informed as to any progress in your incubator mind Anna
