I will say though unless your cham can get onto that flowery bunch your UV tube is doing nothing but looking pretty. Might be an idea to lower it ![]()

I will sort out something so phoebe my cham can get closer to her uv light, Thanks for the advice. I am ordering a background soon and some more plants so i will arrange them so she can get higher up! Thanks again

Lovely collection but the UV thing is urgent, chams NEED a LOT of UV, especially at that age. Probably better with a long uv tube, top to bottom in the corner with a reflector behind. ![]() Gary |

Its not a good idea to have UV running vertically up the cage - UV rays can be harmful to the eyes, not just of herps but humans too. For this reason, UVB tubes should always be hung above the animal in question, and next to a bright white-light source to discourage the animal from looking directly at it (although the UVB is damaging, it doesnt necessarily cause discomfort when stared at...white light on the other hand is, and so acts as a preventative when sited close by).
