Default A couple of pics (warning! blood!)

A couple of recent picture updates on some of my crew...

Baby Geronimo veeeery slowly growing up (shedding in top pic!) Still hates to be handled, but is getting better. Im thinking of renaming him Mr. Staypuft as he is always puffing himself up when he is picked up, bless him - but it doesnt quite fit the theme of the rest of their names! We shall see.

Little BTS arent so little anymore! These guys disappear into their hides at night and emerge about an inch bigger I swear.

Aaaand, I got my first bite from an MTS...it was bound to happen eventually.

This was a glancing bite and he didnt manage to get a grip as I saw him coming and was in the process of moving out of the way...not quickly enough it seems! Even the little nip caused a great deal of bleeding and broke through the middle of my nail. I cant imagine how bad a "proper" bite would be (even through the heaviest-duty riggers gloves it still pinches really badly!).

Here is the culprit looking pleased with himself:

Thanks for the comments! My boyfriend came up with Staypuft and I thought it was pretty clever - plus I love Ghostbusters! Little Geronimo looks like a ping-pong ball when hes all blown up.

Murdock always looks very happy, its very deceptive as he is a lunatic! Totally unpredictable, which is why he was christened "Howling Mad Murdock" Oddly enough, the seller really tried to convince me that they were all handlable and tame...

Which ones? I have caresheets for the chuckwallas and monkey tails on my two sites if theyre any good...for BTS I'd recommend Blue Tongue Skinks - Welcome to BlueTongueSkinks.NET !. My monkey tails are far and away my favourite reptiles, but they can be really moody sometimes; the male that bit me is usually a bit crazy but generally checks you out before biting. This time I let my guard down and approached him a bit quickly, and he got me! The females hes housed with also went for me today, both of them were at the door clawing to try and get at me. Well, actually they wanted their food - but if youre in the way when they come for it they WILL try and mess you up lol. I have to drop their food into the cage and beat a hasty retreat! To be fair, that group is the worst - my other two groups are much, much mellower.
