Default My New Leos

Got these on friday, waited for them to settle for a couple of days before i took some pics.Photos don't do them justice unfortunetly.
Leos are from Mark & Melanie who are top breeders and have been really helpful to me.Thanks guys.Their site is:MARKS LEOPARD GECKOS.CO.UK - Welcome I definately recommend them.

Anyway here's Eddie my Super Tangelo Male

And Cornell my Sunglow Male,Cornell had a bad shed when he first hatched and skinned himself causing his hand to fall off,but he's brilliant,it really doesn't affect him at all.

Nice to see they have both settled in well, I'm sure they will be very happy with you.
re. Cornell i thought i will share with you all what happened to cornell, i feel it is valuble and important for breeders such as myself to share experiences good and bad and to learn about different conditions and situations that may arise.
Cornell hatched prematurely, i have no idea as to why this happened but when he did i honestly did not hold out much hope, he was very small around 2g and was white striped, pink and very see through.
As with all my geckos i believe everyone should be given a chance and so placed him in a hatchling box and onto the heat and hoped for the best.
Around 3 days later he looked like he may be shedding although in bits and not at all like my other hatchlings, I provided a moist hide and left him to it as i normally would.
A couple of hours i looked in and to my horror seen not only some shed left on him but while he had tried to pull it off not only had he pulled the old skin but he had also pulled down the fresh skin underneath and his leg looked like a raw rolled down sock.
I was mortified i had never seen this happen before and after a rather quick consultation with the vet, he explained that there was nothing that could be done and at best he hoped the leg would heal.
After such a poor start in life and then to be confronted with this also this really did seem to be too much for this little gecko to take, and the leg did not improve infact it seemed to stop him from doing things, he didn't appear to be in any pain and was eating and drinking but not very much, very quickly the foot went black and then dropped off all this in a matter of days.
Well as soon as it did 'speedy cornell' was right back on track his weight slowly increased and this is him now.
I will believe this slow start will mean he may be a little stunted in growth but it hasn't slowed him down infact i'm sure carl will agree just how quick this little fellow is.
I gave Cornell to carl for free and believe that a good home is important for a disabled/physically challenged gecko.
This is not a genetic problem and therfore cornell can be bred from.
He really is a fantastic colour and i hope carl that you will be very happy with cornell and eddie.

Stunning!! I love the colours of Eddie, Cornell (nice colours too) is adorable, if my beardie (stumpy) is anything to go by the missing foot will not slow him down one little bit

Oh yeh Cornell is a speedy fella lol, will give Eddie a run for hi money lol.I'm definately happy with them both they are stunning. Was quite a shock to see how big Eddie was as his age but as a breeder of Super Tangelos Melanie they must all be a similar size. They will definately be well looked after here no problem. Thanks again.

Hi Carl, they're both so gorgeous and I'm really pleased little Cornell has gone to a lovely home. I totally agree that Melanie and Mark are great breeders, Angus (who I had from them) is just lovely and also never stops eating!

Hope things are going well with all your hatchling babies and that you managed to find good homes for them.

yes everyone keeps me updated on their gecko... the really nice thing is they have all kept their names and all seem really happy in their new homes and growing great. The year is slowly coming to a end now, just waiting on the last eggs to hatch but to everyone out there who has one of our geckos, i hope you will all continue to be really happy with your geckos and as always feel free to contact me for any advice should you need to do so.
melanie.
