Default Bachelor Pad

Few photos of Phoenix's, my male sand gecko, bachelor pad:

He hasn't emerged yet for me to move him in there, maybe he suspects he is about to be seperated from his girls I'll see if I can get some photos of him in his new home once he is moved!

Looking nice, do they actually burrow under the sand then? Are they very active or do they hide most of the time?

They dig around in the sand, Phoenix made burrows when he was younger but eventually started just sleeping under hides and none of them really seem to bother with making proper burrows. The females are very active most of the time, Phoenix less so sometimes he'll be running around like crazy other times he hides away for weeks on end! They are only usually active at night though.

It's a plastic Really Useful Box. Currently testing a heatmat underneath the box and that seems to be reaching the temperatures (underneath the sand because he will burrow for heat and that is usually what he does in where he is now). Seems to be working well so far.

The rocks come from various pet shops and the "desert plants" are actually from an aquarium rock ornament with plants that I pulled apart
