Default Lizard(name?)

Hey, on my vacation to the V.S. I made the pictures that you can see here, does anyone know the names of these animals?

1 Grand Canyon


2 Monument Valley

Picture-1 looks like a desert horned lizard.
Picture-2 looks like a western fence lizard.

cool pics but am naff to be honest at spotting and naming lizards as pretty new to all this, dogs n horses yeah just about do that lol i thought that first lizard was the one that squirts blood via its eye as a defence thing.... but like i said im naff lol

I thought so to but the back doesn't look anything like that of a short horned lizard..

Dont know what the first one is but i've seen that austin stevens guy chasing one on tv before.

As already sugested, i think
first pic is some species of desert horned lizard for certain.
and the second is a species of fence lizard/swift but no idea which.

nice pics.
