Cheers people. The sand was becoming a pain in the ass. I was finding it would smell after a little while and to me thats not good. It also seemed to be dusty but not at first? Was argos childrens play sand.

The other thing that did it was when i fed him. I've never seen his get sand in his mouth but the other day a cricket was getting the best of him, he took a dive and sand went in his mouth. That was it for me....

Haha cheers. I have a spare tile which i might use as a raised section under the basking light. Not sure what i could use to hold it up though if you get what i mean? I've got some bricks but that seems a bit scanky.

How about some 90 degree connector blocks attached to the side of the cage, with the tile on top of them like a corner shelf? If you screwed in the blocks, then siliconed the tile on top, it should be stable enough, but removable with a sharp knife if needed?

I would have thought so...I get anything like that from B&Q!

EDIT: Just seen your picture in the BD vivs thread, so I guess you must have found them from somewhere - looking good!
