ah i understand now right cool.

Are they both westerns then?
Our western hasnt got a lot of colour on him, i assumed they were usually like that, looks similar to the pics, but soemone mentioned green, our easterns [well, new mexican sub species..ALL WITH THE SAME DARN LATIN NAME WHICH IS WIERD LOL.. are full of greens and blues and a bit of yellow etc.

yeah both westerns, species in the sig. The male is dark brown with some blue, red and green. The female is much lighter brown with some red on here too!

easterns are
Crotaphytus collaris
aswel which is so confusing... to be honesti never evn realiased till a few dasy ok.
Cool, I really must admit my western hasnt got much clour really boo hoo im gona cry now

red eh? awesome, get some close up pics, do you find the colours come out at times and not others? as with beadies for example?

They both have the same latin nameand all sub species? thats mad and mega confusing, Im not sure if they are eastern or western now but karma said western so im sure thats what they are.
I will try get some close ups but he does not stay still. I have to be real careful when I open the viv to clean or put food in as he belts it full speed into the glass lol.
Ill try get some when hes sleeping tm night!

Maybe we should all get together and have a collard lizard picture frenzie ,theres a few others on here i see have collards.

haha those are awesome karma. I'll have to post my viv, Ive got a homemade rock/cave climby type thing in there which they seem to climb to the top and launch themselves off.

kamakazi collards,considering most websites say that they aint good climbers thats a load of bo??ocks,
They are great climbers runners and jumpers.it makes me tired just watching them sometimes,

ps your male was only with me a month so still jumpy but he will settle down,
the 2 eastern in the pic i posted where the same and they are both fine now except the male can still be a little jumpy at times but he's getting there,

also as dean posted,i have noticed that there colours do change alot,
my male while some days is brilliant bright green,there is also the odd time when he has a brown back like the female.

So heres the viv, the home made thing is on the left, kind of like a big climbing frame, and sometimes they sleep under it in the cave bit too
