I have to disagree. My girl goes orange in breeding season and I know 100% she is a girl, she also has a huge dewlap and extremely long spines

Though it is not a given on this one as we know very little.

Lee, can you tell us how old etc your Iggy is Shes a beaut!

it depends how u raise them, i mean sum people force handle, that what ive been doin and its workin well for me and lizard. other people try 2 jus get 2 a neutral basis, like "i wont hurt him cos he wont hurt me" and that jus leaves the fire in them. its a big topic really. theres people on both sides but as with everythin its massivly based on personal experience. mine is respondin well 2 forced handlein and he doesnt show any signs of stress, he's eatin well growin QUICK, active and jus the bollocks of a lizard 2bh.

I thought going orange was more a male thing in breeding season too, but i think its like "some males do this" which in turn can be assumed that soem females do aswell and its simply not been reported or spread around.

going orange is also a sign of long term poor health or old age... again only soemtimes so who is to say.

you must have rehomed this iggy very recently yes lee? no more than a week or 2 ago?
