hi.
well done. I would also build up a larger area below the basking light..so that he has a basking temp of 120 degrees. id also add a cat litter tray full of water for him to swim in. nice viv.

whichever one you like is fine.
you could yes..id just have a water container in there for him, yourl find he will swim atleast once a day.. they liek it.. its best to have it as part of thier vviarium where they consider home and "theres" i think.

wherever you like, doesnt matter atall.... well.. not directly under the basking lamp.. but other than that..wherever.
