Default Devastating Lizard (Cyprus)

On my last visit to Cyprus Ayia Napa I happened to see A pet unkown Lizard I think its a basilk or iguna or watever! But personally i thought it was very poorly treated! It Was In A Small Canarie Bird Cage With some sort of wooden perch sticking through it! It Was outside a large supershopping place! It was out only during night to attract Customers! It Looms very ill and looks very dehydrated. The cage was about 13" x 13" and was very horrible. Isnt this just plane cruelty? It Had no food or water inside the cage. It was Disgusting inside the cage and looked in poor condition. Im sure theres many over cons to it aswell!

Heres the pictures ...

Please comment on what you think!! And possibily tell me what the lizard is?

green iguana. needs a much bigger set up than that. thats far too cruel. IMO this happens far too often and there should be some cracking down on animal cruelty. was in my local shop todayand they keeping adult beardies in 2ft tanks no space at all for it to move.

Similer in my local shop in 2ft enclosers when they need much more! I Think beardies should at least have 4 foot when adult.

Just remember this was abroad. Heres a picture of a bird on a table thing just outside market wich was poorly fed and was mistreated!

i think its disgusting how some people can do stuff like that and treat animals badly and most likely for some form of profit. yeh a beardie should have at least 4 ft. i hate going to the shop cz it jst makes me want to take them all home with me and look after them myself.
