Default Keeping a flexarium at heat??? glass instead? please help

A different question, we have a 38 gallon flexarium, a UV and a 100w spot bulb yet the general temp of the flexarium is still only hitting 65f which i know for a Chameleon is just way to cold for daytime temp.

What are the best temps for a chameleon daytime etc the range, and how do you kepp a flexarium warm enough?? x

Please help as we pick him up tomorrow and really need to get this sorted! Would we do better to buy a glass tank to keep him in that would hold the temp much better?

I used to keep corns in flex's. Managed to keep the surface heat up to 88F warm end and 72F cool end with only a heat mat.
I am not sure about the ambient temps though.
I'd suggest keeping the flex in a warm room really.
Have you tried ceramic heating? That may help you out.

Thank you guys, I've moved it into the living room and it's settled at 72 F at the very bottom of the flex, so i'm happy now LOL I was worried because I was told not to use glass and I didn't want to really because of the humidity.

Baby Chameleons photos coming tomorrow LOL

I use a wooden viv that i made myself...... with glass front, and 2 big vents in back and side.....plus a bit extra ventilation aalong top of both sides, and have no prob with humidity....or temps

my viv is 4 foot by 2 foot and 3 foot high and i use a 100w white spot with an extra 60wred spot in winter as the viv is in a draughty spot....which aids the ventilation...so thats cool and also a 40w basking plate for night time....
if you ask 4 different people you'll get 3-4 different ideas on the best viv to use.....glass....flex....wood with glass fronts...wood with mesh fronts... the choice is yours really, based on where it will be, whether you have central heating etc, an type of chameleon you want....
my viv works for me....but might not work for others....

hope it goes well....
