Default sexing my panther

I just received my ambilobe panther yesterday- I requested a male but I'm pretty sure I was given a female. At first, I checked for spurs not realizing that this was a species without spurs. Given how small he is I'm very confused. I definitely think it's too early for his hemipene glands to show. Should I be looking at his dorsalateral ridges?

Default sexing

I've noticed that he/she is very dark- not black but a darker shade of gray. There is a slim light line passing through the torso. The tail seems to be pretty thick but I don't exactly have others to compare it to. Very cute little thing but only as big as my thumb so unfortunately for me this is not going to be easy. I went through the trouble of spending an 'extra' three hundred smackers on another set-up as I didn't want to put the poor fellow in with my full grown parsons. I can't even to begin to imagine what sort of meal they'd make of him. Since he/she's so small when should I expect him/her to shed with the proper humidity and feedings?

Lots of progress with Jasper tonight (assuming that he/she's a male.) Starting to see a bit of green tint below the lateral crest and dark stripes along the tail.
