Firstly could you answer a few questions:

How old is he?
How long have you had him?
Are his temperatures correct?
When you say "inflating his body".. is it his whole body so it's flat like a pancake or his beard.. ?
What food are you offering?
And how are you going about giving water?

That will be one reason, he's new and settling in, will be scared so dont handle him until you've had him at least a week.
Dont worry about the lack of eating either just yet, it's expected when they get new surroundings.
Don't panic.

Have you given him anytime to settle in or have you been handling him and moving him around a lot?

It sounds like he's very stressed.
