I'm glad there's been some improvement. Fingers crossed he will keep on fighting.

Default God bless ya!

Good luck, poor little mite, how can anyone treat them so cruelly?

If they dont want them, why dont they just give them to pet shops or rescue centres.....it just makes me so cross!

Best of luck to u both, pls keep us update on how hes doing!

I know i`m too soft for my own good, He does seem to have some interest in food despite only being here for a matter of hours, which is a good sign i guess, and is quite active, but will lie on his back in my hand without struggling. Just to top it off he`s got mites too. Obviously gonna put him on paper tonight, just didn`t want to mess with him too much more than i have done already.

I agree how could u walk away, but i was advised by a vet, after i took in a rescue that i should have contacted the RSPCA as this is quite obviously neglect.......might be worth thinking about........these people should be made responsible for their actions!

NOt wishing the defend the state of this guys animals but I also know that his newborn daughter has not left the hospital since her birth due to serious heart problems, he claimed someone was supposed to be looking after the animals for him.

I agree its totally unacceptable, I can also understand to a point how things got this bad. I've buried 10 children so know how it grabs you when things go badly wrong for them from birth and came close to losing one of my living daughters at 17 to menigitis. I still managed to look after a friends bitch and get an emergency c-section performed overnight, look after my daughter until she was readmitted etc.

Even a complete newbie like me could see that this was extreme starvation. I personally would still have reported him. If he considered it ok to do this now, then at some time down the line when he gets animals again, he will think it ok to do the same. He wants stopping from owning them again no matter how difficult his personal life is at present. We've all suffered bad sh1t but I doubt any of us would starve our pets because of it.
I hope the poor chap gets wormed and deloused ASAP/ I run an animal rescue and the very first thing I do even with sick animals is delouse and worm so that any nutrition gets used 100% to gain strength and not feed a heavy population of parasites.
Hope he is getting better.
