From the pic it looks a bit like because of his poor state and weakness he's been dragging himself along and the pressure on that area is increased because of how thin he is and how near his skeleton is to the underside of his skin (a bit like bed sores that ill/emaciated people get) and perhaps amonia burns from where he's been sitting in his own mess or been in filthy conditions.

Thanks guys! Can`t believe the response i`ve had from this!

Dean, yeah have to be careful not to overdo it foodwise. He is having 3 or 4 large crix twice a day and greenfood is always on offer. It can do the liver and kidneys more harm than good to give him too much if his body is not used to coping with it. Ditto with the calcium and vits, much better to bring the levels up slowly.
I kept a handful of hemp in for his comfort really, literally just a brushing of it over the floor, its also a little damp just to help with his hydration. I`m sweeping it out/disinfecting daily to try and keep the mites at bay.

To be honest, i gave £20 for him to get him out of that place, and if he`d asked for more, i still would have given it to him just to get the poor critter into my care.
A report wouldn`t have done much good really, as it can take weeks for the RSPCA to respond to reports, as it did when that idiot reported me. I personally think this beardie would have been dead by the time they got to him, i believe the rest of the reps in his care have now been bought by a reputable person as rescues to be rehomed, although the condition of those was a lot better than this guy.

EDIT - Also well done for rescuing this lil guy

The headbutt bit probably would have occurred to me if i wasn`t pregnant. People like that ain`t worth risking my baby for......Might pay him a visit in 6 months though..

OMG that is just unbelievably outrageous!
Sorry, but that guy who had him deserves to be in the exact same situation and see how he likes it! Or worse!
Good on you for taking him in, I know you said no more beardies but he is an exception as he is in need of someone like you.
It makes you even more sad doesnt it, when the animal is so loving too, you feel even ore sorry for them. How they cant turn nasty I dont know!
Keep us updated. How is he now?
Get well soon little one!
