Default 2nd Clutch started to hatch

Yep.....Violet is Now a Mummy.....she had 10 baby Yemens hatch on Saturday, and another 7 yesterday.....

Fifi's had her babies, and Now it is Violets turn........

17 baby yemens climbing around their viv.......
it came as a bit of a shock, I thought maybe they wouldn't hatch, as they took a little longer than Fifi's to start hatching, and so had to quickly put the heaters on, but luckily everything else was already set up, and regular checks on the incubator paid off!!

All doing really well, they have started eating as well......

I have the chameleon tree back.....yippee!!

They'll be available from the 19th May approximately, depending on size, eating, shedding etc....... as before they will be £25 each

I'll try and post pics later....they are so cute........

I so wish I had some panthers.........I would lurrrvvveee panthers.....no room though!!
Its a catch 22 situation, I have to have room for incubator and hatchling viv and don't have room for a panthers viv.....but the baby yemens could be sold to buy some panther chams......but i haven't got room for oanthers, but selling baby yemens could let me buy the panthers.....aarrrgghhh see what i mean!!

Such great fun though having loads of baby yemens.....They are so cool

I have been taking pics tonight but haven't had time to upload them......hopefully i'll do that tomorrow
ps, I'm also up to 18 now!!...I think I have 2-3 eggs left in that tub to hatch, but also another tub, in a different part of the viv from the same clutch, wonder when they'll start to hatch

I still have loads of eggs from other clutches as well.......
Cool baby yemens in the viv for ages to come!!

Can i just ask; how are yemens for handlingability?

Easyily handable, rarely handable? They the kind of lizard you just admire in the viv or the kind that sits on you for hours and loves coming out?

yemen chameleons are not like beardies, But some do enjoy coming out, and walking round the house sat on your shoulder etc....others will hiss and hide..... my female fifi likes to sit on my head....my male leon hates even being seen except when food is about, certainly doesn't like coming out of the viv, so i don't get him out....the other female likes to come out for a short period, for a walk, and then goes straight back in,
generally speaking don't get yemens if you want a rep to come out regularly, but some will.....esp if got young, and handled regularly from young...but not all, even when had from young......like leon!!

they can def be admired in the viv tho...stunning lizards....in my opinion!!
